Remember what it was like last year when tens of thousands of South LA-area students were not attending their virtual classes? We're still seeing the aftermath in suicides, learning losses, gang violence, continued truancy, deferred college and career access, and more.

With LAUSD loosening its COVID restrictions, it is expected that many more parents will choose virtual learning and need additional support in supervising their children's home studies.

Alexis Coleman, executive director of Urban Scholar Academy in Inglewood, will be sharing her insight and experience with the support her educational center has provided for homeschooling parents.

She will present "How to Homeschool Your Children" at our Parent Power Group workshop to be held next week on Mon, Nov 22, 6-7pm, on Zoom.
