We love our councilman!

We chose our 32nd Vision Awards Dinner theme,"Harbor of Hope," to reflect the Wooten Center’s role as a place of safety, support, and opportunity for youth and families in South Los Angeles. Just as a harbor offers shelter, guidance, and a place to anchor, the center has long served as a steady source of hope and empowerment for the community.

In that spirit, we are proud to honor
Marqueece Harris-Dawson, our 8th District Councilman and President of the LA City Council, as this year's Catch the Vision Award honoree in recognition of the leadership, support, and dedication he has provided at the center and throughout the South Los Angeles area. He has helped us strengthen programs, enhance facilities, and expand services for more than 300 students per year.

Our Vision Awards Dinner is our largest fundraiser of the year, raising key support for our free afterschool and low-cost summer programs for students in grades 3-12. We invite you to join us by purchasing sponsorships, tickets, and program book as, also contributing auction items and financial gifts of any amount. Guests will enjoy a beautiful evening featuring a seated dinner, silent auction, and special presentations to our honoree and seven Wooten Student Achievers.
