About the Event
Our weekly Parent Power Group meeting is held weekly on Mondays through July 27, 2020. Go to the Events page above to download the flyer.
If your latest parenting challenge has been how to help your student be more self-motivated in joining their virtual classes, our free Parent Power Group meeting tomorrow is for you. “Teaching Kids Responsibility and Discipline” will be held Monday, July 6, 6-7:30pm on Zoom.
Facilitator Andrew Henderson, consulting program officer for the Families for Children Spiritual and Behavioral Health Center, will lead a discussion on how to help students be more responsible and disciplined in their at-home learning.
Discussions will include the “motivation learn tool,” used to practice positive discipline and other methods to help build self-esteem, social-emotional development and more.
Andrew has more than 30 years experience developing and teaching curricula on resiliency for foster and other youth. He has a BS in Economics from CSUSC and an MS in Counseling from CSULA.
Thank you to Andrew for his volunteer service and partnership in support of our youth and families. For more information, visit www.familiesforchildren.org.
