29th Vision Awards Dinner
In-person in 2022!

Our Vision Awards trophy is presented to honorees who made significant impacts at the center. We also present medals to Wooten student achievers. Here's Candice at our last dinner gathering in 2019 giving her acceptance speech for the academic excellence in reading award.

Vision Awards Dinner 2022...Location TBD

Our Vision Awards Dinner will be in-person again this year after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. There will be a reduced attendance and social distancing protocols but we are glad and grateful to be back and to see our friends again.

If you cannot attend, your support is still wanted to help us provide tuition-free afterschool and summer programs for more than 400 students in grades 3-12 per year.

The center reopened in June 2021 and is currently operating hybrid programs both onsite and online. Thank you to the college students and professionals and other volunteers and staff helping provide more than 100 free virtual private tutoring sessions per week.

Our Catch the Vision Awards Dinner is a charity event presented annually by our Board of Directors to raise support for our youth center programming. Click on the Donate button to give online or mail your gift to the address below.

Thank you. :)

We closed our youth center buildings at 91st and Western in Los Angeles temporarily in March 2020 due to the pandemic. We reopened in June 2021 with a limited 15 students onsite and fully opened in summer 2022 with 60 students.

Here are some pics from our free afterschool and summer programs for students in grades 3-12.
